Christian Capps

Managing Attorney

Christian earned his undergraduate degree from The Citadel, where he developed a foundation grounded in leadership, discipline, and service. He went on to earn his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law, preparing him for a career dedicated to serving others through the practice of law. In addition to his legal career, Christian has served in the United States Army for more than 12 years and currently serves in the Army National Guard. Before establishing Capps Law, Christian served 5+ years as a prosecutor, gaining firsthand experience navigating the criminal justice system from the other side of the courtroom. His experience prosecuting cases involving domestic violence, drug offenses, and traffic-related offenses gave him a practical understanding of how criminal cases are investigated, evaluated, and prosecuted. That perspective now informs his approach to defense: thorough preparation, thoughtful strategy, and a clear understanding of what is at stake for every client. Christian believes that effective representation begins with listening. Every client comes to the legal process with a different set of circumstances, concerns, and goals, and he takes the time to understand the person behind the case. He is committed to providing honest advice, responsive communication, and personalized representation from the initial consultation through the resolution of a case. As the founder of Capps Law, Christian built the firm around three principles: Prepared. Personal. Principled. He brings those principles to every case, working to ensure that his clients understand their options, know what to expect, and have an advocate who is prepared to stand beside them when it matters most.
